I've seen a lot of people appropriately get tired of Heroes in the past season, but I have to say the three past episodes really have been pretty good to me.
It's exciting, fast paced, and they've even killed off a few characters (or so we think). Now if they are done with Hiro's whining and fighting with Ando I'll be much happier but so far for those of you who left the show....watch the first three of the Fugitives arc and see if it's back.
Also watched Dollhouse this weekend and I'm happy Joss and Eliza are back together. Good premise, Pilot was shakey in parts but pulled it together to keep my interest. It was really choppy in the first 10 minutes but connected the pieces quickly and laid the groundwork for some interesting stuff coming up I think.
Fringe has really pulled me in as the season has progressed.....of course now they don't have a new episode until April...but it's time for any of you who haven't watched to start from the beginning. I love the conspiracy, quirky mad scientist, hard nosed blond main character Olivia, and throwing in "Pacey" from Dawson's creek (Joshua Jackson) is ok too.
Eleventh Hour is very X-files meets CSI for me. Love each episode and the fact that most are self contained is helping to not worry about missing one here or there.
BSG is by far rocking my world right now... Revealing the last of the Final Five...and the other Spoiler from Friday.. OMG is it Friday yet? |

OK so It's not until February but the race is on for the NYCC which is February 6-8th... I wanna know whose in?
I am thinking about the VIP passes ($150) which get you into the con early...NO Long line in the bitter cold of Feb... plus a bunch of other perks.. and there are the Ultimate VIP passes for $200 which gets you RESERVED seating in the biggest hall which we never made it into last year due to the crowd...hmmm not many of those left so need to book this week.
who's in? I'm also planning on booking a hotel room soon so anyone interested in joining let me know asap!!
Post about my fun weekend will be coming soon. |

So I've been nudged by Chris (Mr.Sarcastic) and have been trying to think about what I should post about. I have a lot of stuff going on...both good and Bad....but This post is about a day I never thought would happen... My 6th Anniversary with Charles.
Not that I didn't think it would last...but I have always in my life felt I was a loner, outcast and as many acquaintances I have and friends both near and far... I never thought I would have anyone put up with me long enough to make it this far.
Charles is my best friend, my lover, my partner in so many ways. He's seen me at my weakest and strongest, at my best and worst. I can't imagine my life without him in it.... and while the past 2 yrs have been fraught with turmoil in our lives both in our relationship and out. That is part of what Life is about. You can't appreciate the good without the bad.
I don't know what the future holds and don't know if I can change some of my ways but I do know I Love him more than anyone else in this world and hope that means something with all the shit I've put him through over the years. I always imagined I'd be a good boyfriend but my insecurities reared up in unique ways over the years.
Charles is my third serious relationship in my life and by far the longest. First was Tara in high school...she was gonna be the girl I married until I couldn't reconcile my feelings for men and women so pulled away. Second was Nico who will always be my first love... I couldn't reconcile the non-monogamy I needed in my life..so pulled away from him..and yrs later didn't know how to make it right and lost him forever. Then came Charles who snuck under my walls as I tried to keep people at a distance after Nico not wanting to hurt or be hurt again...... all of a sudden we were living together.... then a year went by, and another.....suddenly we were no longer just dating...we were serious partners.
I have been doing a lot of thinking over the past year...and this summer in particular..trying to address my insecurities and restlessness.....where things will lead I don't know..but I do know I love Charles and today I am going to enjoy spending time with this man who I love....enjoying the 6 yrs we've had together and looking forward to what the future brings.
I LOVE YOU Schmoopie!! :) |

| | When I grow Up - Pussycat Dolls | ] | Wow it's been a whirlwind of a summer so far...and I'm loving it!!
Work is still insane, and there was my grandmother's hospitalization (she's doing better out of the hospital and currently staying with my aunt)...but the plus has been travel.
Chicago twice staying with the incredibly awesome meatybear and murphy who definitely know how to host. Getting to hangout with and meet some new Chicago boys.. so cool.
Camping up at the Woods for the 4th and last weekend for Bears II-- hosted by the sweet bearcircle and his partner Ken. Got to spend more time with my Cocoa labelsdc and even got to see the sexy pupcubtx2k, osobaboso, Brian, Rick and Joe.
My ComicCon circuit is nearly complete. NY with texasbearcub , my friend Pat and the slowly converting osobaboso then there was Philly with osobaboso and rugbybearpa which totally rocked!! And next week will be San Diego hosted by the amazing sluggobear maverick1303 and kingfuraday ...man I can't wait to see the 619 crew again as well as mattycub and zombietruckstop more than just our yearly visit in Chicago...YAY!! Can't wait to see all the others as well. Just wish the hubby could have come along on this trip....but we have plenty of trips coming up
Starting my trip tomorrow - I will be joining the ever humble rugbybearpa and staying with the superb duo of bearseattle and thedeaner.,,,,man my mind has been on vacation all week. After This Seattle/ San Diego trip....Charles and I get to go to Columbus for bearcamp and see the Columbus boys again!! Can't wait. |

| Iron Man- must see movie of the Summer ....so far. |
[May. 2nd, 2008|10:57 am] |
Ok so in typical geek fashion - Jody and I (we dragged Charles along) went to see the 1130pm show of Ironman last night.
IT ROCKED!! I believe it's one of the best made superhero movies out there. Robert Downey Jr was amazing as Tony Stark...totally believable and fit the role like a glove.
His interactions with the rest of the stellar cast - Gwenyth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, and Terrance Howard along with Jon Favreau himself (playing Happy Hogan) were so well done.
I loved it and would recommend you go see it this weekend!!
Oh and for those of you comic geeks out there you will want to stay until the end of the credits to see the best teaser scene EVER!! |

| Bears on the Run!! |
[Apr. 13th, 2008|08:41 pm] |
Ok gang the Bears on the Run boys are finally coming to our area.
Tuesday night they will be at the Baltimore Chop Bookstore starting at 8pm and on Thursday they will be at Remington's in DC at 8pm also. The suggested Donation price of $12 will help cover their costs to bring us a fun show. It has all kinds of fun from the hip comedy of Bobaloo to the music styling of Shannon Grady and Matthew Temple, including the Hard core Rock vibe with the amazing Elijah Black and the Electric performances from the sexy Kendall. All in all it's a great show. Hope to see you boys there!!
